Support: Will the J-Box be compatible with the 905 (mini)

    As the subject line implies.
    An Autel service wrep as well as a few others within these forums have been told the J-Box (ECU/PCM reflasher) would be compatible with the mini (905).
    Is this true as of now or down the line?
    Ruff ETA on when/if the J2534 would be released separately?
    Ruff idea on pricing would also be welcomed.

    I do apologize for the questions yet many are unclear.
    As its been stated a few times only the size of the 905 & 908 differs as all software & external hardware is compatible between both units.
    True/false?

     I called tech support and asked them if the 908 will support the J2534 module and he said yes it will. I asked if any software or modifications need to be done to unit and he told me all you need to do is pair it to unit.  He also said that I don't need the original VCI unit as the J2534 will replace the VCI unit.  I did not ask about the mini 905 but I would assume it will because the only difference is the screen size.

    Ok, the 905 is able to be used with a J2534 device. But I can't see why you need to do so, because most people use the J2534 device to do the ECU reprogramming, and our 905 does not support this function. In this meaning, a bluetooth box and a J2534 device are doing the same thing, diagnosing the vehicle.

    Thank you Support.. The ECU reprogramming was the question at hand with the 905..
    That was my fault for not clearifing the question yet you answered my question.
    So that's the only difference between the 905 & 908 is screen size and the use of ECU
    reprogramming..
    Hopefully this will clarify other users as some had questioned if the 905 could
    reprogram if the J2534 was bought..

    You are welcome.
    Though you really need the J2534 device to do the ECU reprogramming, it is actually our software to make this happened. Right now, the Mini software does not support this programming function.
